Curricular units

These training plans concern single curricular units included on the ongoing Courses at ESEP.

If successfully completed, the student will be given reusable ECTS credits.

Enrolment in these modules is limited and complies with submission order entries. Enrolment in one of these modules does not imply enrolment in any course/degree.

Upon successful completion of a module, a certificate will be issued attesting its completion, including grade and ECTS credits.
Should the student not apply for assessment or fails to complete the module, a registration certificate will be issued, upon the student’s request.

Learning outcomes: To recognize the characteristics of the development of adult and elderly person; To identify the possible influence of professional factors on workers’ health; To know the labour legislation, particularly concerning the Safety and Health of workers; To identify and list the physiological changes related to the ageing process; To describe the vaccination schedule of adult and elderly; To identify problems related to the sexuality of the adult and elderly; To build and identify the cultural and social significance of the dying process; To recognize and name the Ministry of Health programs for adults and the elderly; To plan health promotion and disease prevention to the population of adults and seniors; To develop skills in the areas of autonomy and decision-making to solve health problems of the adult and elderly.

Learning outcomes: The course Behaviour and Relationship aims at: enable students to acquire knowledge and develop skills/attitudes to allow optimization of their relational component, empowering the student with resources to enable therapeutic procedures (diagnosis and intervention) in care provision to people throughout the life cycle and in people with communication disorders; The course focuses also on nursing therapeutic modalities capable of promoting the quality of life, well-being and self-reliance, mainly in the relational and interaction components.

Learning outcomes: Develop general care nursing skills; Identify needs/child’s ability according to the stages of growth/development; Develop capacity for critical analysis on the nursing practice focuses; Identify the responses of the child/parent to the health condition/disease; Interrelate the identified answers of the child/parents with the evidence of scientific knowledge; Identify situations that require nursing care to clients as child/parents; Plan and implement nursing interventions; Assess the effectiveness of nursing interventions specifying the expected/obtained outcomes; Document the conception of care; Demonstrate ability to be an agent of change; Organize clinical practice taking the child/parents as partners in care; Adopt a responsible and ethical conduct, acting with due regard for the rights and child/parent’s interests; Promote coordination between areas of knowledge, increasing the critical and reflective thinking; Contribute to the development of practice based on evidence.
