Post-graduate course in Critical Care Nursing
Critical Care Nursing requires an appropriate intervention based on robust knowledge. The specificity of the interventions that these clients require, coupled with the need for immediate action, increases the degree of complexity and the levels of skills required from nurses.
The Post-graduate Course in Critical Care Nursing aims to develop and deepen theoretical and practical knowledge, as well as scientific skills, for the provision of care to clients with acute and/or severe illness.
Learning outcomes
- To deepen knowledge about nursing theoretical fundamentals within the scope of complex critical illness and/or organs failure, that enable the development of critical reasoning about nursing care;
- To implement differentiated nursing interventions of special complexity to the person in critical condition and/or organs failure;
- To promote effective responses in emergency, exceptional and catastrophe situations;
- To broaden competencies to the production and application of advanced scientific knowledge, and for autonomous and reflexive decision-making based on the best available evidence.
