Master in Nursing Services Management and Administration
The Master’s Degree in Nursing Services Management and Administration empowers nurses to take part in health services management enabling the acquisition of conceptual instruments and critical analysis abilities, decision-making and assessment. It was designed aiming at training students to become chief nurses.
Learning outcomes
To prepare nurses to understand the importance of organizational management at macro and micro levels, concerning public and private healthcare centres;
To prepsare nurses to understand the relevance of the organizational framework of healthcare centres;
To prepare nurses to cross-relate strengths and weaknesses of the internal contexts in health care services, with the opportunities and threats emerging from an external context;
To prepare nurses to acknowledge the importance of strategic planning in the development of healthcare organizations and the greater potential that can emerge from the nurses involvement;
To prepare nurses to assess the main approaches resulting from developed studies enabling knowledge on leadership methods adopted by nursing managers;
To prepare nurses to master specific tools based on qualitative and quantitative analyses used in monitoring management processes.
