Post-graduate course in Perioperative Nursing

The Post-graduate Course in Perioperative Nursing aims to develop and deepen empirical and scientific, ethical, aesthetic and personal knowledge to empower nurses in this area of knowledge. It aims to provide the necessary tools for the consolidation of a culture oriented towards advanced professional support to the person in perioperative situation and his/her family/significant person.

Learning outcomes

• To develop nurses’ specific competencies to the care of the person in perioperative situation and the respective family/significant person;
• To develop nurses’ specific competencies to the care of the person in perioperative situation to maximize patient safety in surgical condition and the multidisciplinary team, in line with surgical awareness:
• To develop competencies to the production and application of advanced scientific knowledge, and for autonomous and reflexive decision-making based on the best available evidence.
