Post-graduate course in Clinical Supervision in Nursing
Post-graduate course in Clinical Supervision in Nursing
In Nursing, Clinical Supervision is essential to ensure a solid path towards the quality of training and professional practice.
Clinical Supervision of students is currently understood as a process in which a teacher or experienced professional supports, guides and advises a trainee in the construction of his/her knowledge while considering the ecology of situations.
An unprepared or insufficiently prepared clinical supervisor may project his/her needs, doubts and uncertainties onto the supervised. Therefore, to be a clinical supervisor, nurses need specific training in the area of supervision and support for their development, since the participants, supervisor and supervisees are both undergoing an evolutionary process.
This course is accredited by the Portuguese Order of Nurses for professional qualification purposes.
