CIDESI-ESEP actively participates in several initiatives that aim to establish the E4nursing.pt Project at the national level and simultaneously create the E4nursing.eu Project on an international scale. These communities are focused on NursingOntos and e4nursing products. The overall objective of participating in this project is to systematically scale and validate these solutions for the global market.

Recent studies confirm that the common predictors of quality and safety of care and nurses’ well-being refer to the dimensions of nursing practice environments. Chronic illness is the most prevalent health condition in Europe. The WHO (2010) defines it as a long-term illness, usually of slow progression, requiring prolonged multi-professional monitoring, usually associated with the use of medication and/or equipment of more or less complex use.
